In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five news and magazines apps on the Android platform in Europe showcased varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, climbing from approximately $98K at the start of the quarter to a peak of $370K in early December. Weekly downloads remained robust, fluctuating around 230K to 278K, while weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 38M to 35M.

Substack saw a gradual increase in downloads, reaching 39K by the end of December. Active users also rose, starting at 245K and ending the quarter at 317K.

Lastly, Bundle Breaking News experienced a surge in downloads, peaking at 47K in early December. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 900K.
